Instructor Spotlight: Beth Wylie

Beth holds a BA in History and Political Science from the University of Central Arkansas, as well as a Master of Public Administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.  She is a member of the Oklahoma Genealogical Society Board of Directors, and serves as Secretary on the Leadership Team of The NextGen Genealogy Network.  Beth is also a member of the Arkansas Genealogical Society, the National Genealogical Society and a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She recently completed the Baylor University Institute for Oral History’s online workshop and looks forward to incorporating oral narratives into her research.

You can follow Beth’s genealogical adventures on her blog, LifeinthePastLane.org, on her Facebook page of the same name, and on Twitter @BGWylie. When Beth is not falling down research rabbit holes and volunteering with OGS and NextGen, she is spending time with her husband, two young children and working full time as a healthcare administrator.  She dreams of the day she can make the jump to doing genealogical research professionally, but is enjoying the many experiences and fellow travelers she’s meeting along the way.
