Instructor Spotlight: Walt Stoyanoski

Lecture: Land Records
Walt Stoyanoski retired in 2000 after working 20 years as a machinist and 19 years as an accountant.
During the next year he became interested in genealogy while going through his deceased aunt’s family history research papers and began searching for his great-grandmother’s grave.  Now he’s hooked.  He is now trying to improve on his aunt’s work and document information she was unable to find.
Since then he and his grandson have made ancestor hunting trips to Oklahoma, Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin.  He and his sister have been to Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont.  He enjoys the detective work and walking where his ancestors did.
He is a member of the Oklahoma Genealogical Society, National Genealogical Society, New England Historic Genealogical Society, Tulsa Genealogical Society, Rock County Genealogical Society (Wisconsin), and the Hardwick Historical Society (Massachusetts).
