Lecture: Vital Records and Their Substitutes and Genealogy Research in Oklahoma
Dr. Spindle is a popular speaker on various topics in the area and out of state. She has worked as a professional genealogist with “Who Do You Think You Are” and has taught in the “Records of the 5 Civilized Tribes” at the Institute of History and Genealogy.
This is a return visit to speak at the LDS conference. She works in the research library of the Oklahoma Historical Society following a career in public libraries and teaching on the university level. She brings to the table not only her library research skills but a personal background which includes early settlers in the Oklahoma Panhandle and Mennonite immigrants to western Oklahoma.
